I’m not exactly sure what kind of tree this is. Looks like a cedar? Juniper? These trees are all over the place here and get quite large. I found it while going on a bike ride with my adventurous wife. I actually stopped to look at another tree and then noticed a path along a creek. It’s growing on the side of the creek and the mud/soil is being washed away from underneath it. I thought it looked pretty cool. When would be a good time of year to collect it? Late winter?
