pH for trident maples?

What-is a good range for pH for trident maples to grow properly? Thank you B

Hi Bill, I live in an area where the water is 8 - 8.5 pH so quite hard and my Tridents don’t miss a beat. As with all my trees I do try to collect rainwater whenever possible which in the UK is (on average) 5.6 - 5.7 pH. So I guess that’s a fairly wide range for you to go at.

My water is also pH 8 and moderately hard. I found that all of my trees including the trident maples perked up when I reduced the pH into the 6.5 range. However, they still do well with the higher pH water.
