Cypress / " Hinoki" Literati form

I have a 3 1/2 feet high literati tree. Has beautiful movement in the upper part of the tree . BUT The main trunk comes out of the pot at 30 degree angle . I do not like this accept of the tree. I want to repot the tree but do not know what time of the year to do it? Late Autumn or can I do it now I’m in San Bruno 13 miles south of San Francisco area June July can be cool months of the year…

If possible, how about some pics?
This not a good time to repot with root work. Spring is the best time for that operation, when the tree is waking up from winter dormancy :+1:t2:
You may slip pot, meaning pot it into a larger container with a well draining soil or plant it in the ground.
Personally I would wait until late summer, set your desired front and angle, prune and structurally wire.
Leave more foliage than you will need for its final design, especially leave inner foliage for future development, because you can’t get that back after its gone. :metal:t2::evergreen_tree::grinning:
Have you watched this stream?
