Chinese Elm Pruning and Wiring

Wanted to see your thoughts on whether it is appropriate and safe to wire and prune a Chinese Elm now?

I have several Chinese Elms. I’ve always pruned them in late spring-late summer. The best time to wire is in the fall, even when the tree loses all its leaves, as it goes into dormancy. Hope that helps
