I signed up for Mirai Live about a month ago, but had watched some of the videos before. After hearing Ryan talk about Mr Kimura I looked up some of his work online. Completely unrelated on the weekend, I visited a bonsai nursery in the Black Forest and came across this bonsai:

“interesting” pricing there. And given the foliage i believe it has been a while. There are a quite number of trees from well known Japanese bonsai nurseries imported.

It does look like it could use a haircut. I suspect the pricing is because he doesn’t actually want to sell it.
