Bending aftercare

Hello there,

I bent the crap out of a Chamaecyparis obtusa, and even though it was protected by raffia, I heard an unsettling crack — which I think was the tearing or snapping of part of the cambium. It seems to be only a partial break since the branch still holds firm, but I don’t want to risk the tree.

So how should I go about aftercare now?
Should I reduce the foliage, or leave as much on as possible?

I’ll place it in partial shade with some morning sun, but what else can I do to help the break heal?
Should I reduce foliage on the damaged branch, or leave the maximum amount on it?
Misting?
Foliar fertilizing?

Thanks
Dom

I’d say leave it as is.
If the brake isn’t that bad it will heal, if it’s to bad there’s not much you can do.
if you reduce the foliage it will further weaken the branch, I don’t see a lot of point in misting it other then accidentally keeping it to wet and creating space for disease.
