Bald cypress foliage browning and falling off

Ok so this nursery stock has been in a bucket of water for this year and has done great through spring and most of summer but it’s now seeming to be going downhill and I’m not sure why. Take a look at the pictures and would appreciate any advice. I live in south Louisiana btw.

While a BC can live submerged in water doesn’t mean that it should. Take it out of the bucket and reestablish a balance of water and oxygen. The foliage will return. I might would even put it into the ground for a year if you have a grow bag available. They’re fairly affordable on Amazon.

Hi @jjenk321
Your tree may be drowning or suffocating. When roots grow out of the bottom of a pot like that, water can’t get out and air can’t get in. Cut the roots off
