I’m seeing a lot of great growth in the last photo. Out of curiosity did you prune in the Spring?
I did not prune this tree in spring.

That tree is headed in the right direction. Healthy and happy, thats the way we like them.
Have you given any thought to a more feminine pot? Maybe oval or least something with less sharp corners?

Yes, I hope to report in spring of 2019 into a more appropriate container. The roots need a lot more attention.
