I have been told that wisteria roots do not rot and that after blooming and during the entire summer, to put the pot into a bigger one with water to facilitate blooming the following year. I did that with my wisteria and it bloomed 3 times during the season. However, as said above, wisteria will only bloom after minimum 5 years old.
