I came across this tree at a local nursery, the container is marked “Foster’s Holly.”
This online resource suggests… “Ilex × attenuata is a naturally occuring… cross between I. cassine (dahoon) and I. opaca (American holly)…”
My question is, will it back bud? I’d need to reduce this tree to just the trunk and regrow branching entirely. Strategy? Any other thoughts?
