Black Pine Styling - A look at some of the pines in my garden

I believe @ryan said these three characteristics of pines is how they should be treated and default for pines would be Short-Needle Single-Flush.
Another identifier was a terminal bud emerging between the 2 needles on Multiflush. @ryan mentioned this in one of the live streams, but I can’t remember which one, it might have been the Pitch pine (Pinus rigida) stream https://live.bonsaimirai.com/library/video/pitch-pine-design. Anybody correct me if this info is wrong

I found this info on pines http://ottawabonsai.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/OBS-Pine-2018.pdf
So it looks like Austrian Pine falls into the Long-Needle Single-Flush category.

This is amazing bunch of information in perfect order (to me) and nicely explained! Thank you for sharing it @MtBakerBonsai

Thanks for the update. I have been treating mine as an Austrian BP. It is doing nicely and has produced a bunch of new buds for next year. It took a repotting (removing two 1/4 segments of roots) and the drastic bending and pruning that Mauro did without blinking at all. No slow down at all… the needles even lengthened this summer which I didn’t expect after a repot and bending/pruning.

Thanks again!
Bob
