I started this in 2010 when my parents brought me back a Schefflera “bonsai” in a lava rock from Maui. This lead to research, what is bonsai?? Then I received a “bonsai kit” with 6 Japanese black pine seeds and a fun pot. Two of those seeds germinated. And I still have all three of those original trees today. My journey of education has deepened as the years have gone by and my discovery of Ryan’s teachings and shared knowledge has firmly entrenched me into the love for bonsai.
