Enthusiasm for bonsai grew out of a passion for natural history and a love of deciduous trees, self taught and dabbling since 2005, a fortuitous work trip to Tokyo in 2019 deepened my interest and gave me the determination to gather skills to take my trees to a higher level of refinement. Also starting to develop trees from saplings that will not be in refinement until I’m in my 70s.
