I have appreciated the art of bonsai my entire life. I started dabbling in the art 20 years ago (read as “I’ve killed a lot of nursery stock”). Now in my mid forties, I am striving to collect & produce a higher caliber of bonsai (keeping it alive would be nice as well). Living in the Intermountain Western United States provides environmental challenges that I strive to overcome in order to maximize the potential of some of the amazing native species we have at our disposal.
