My journey with trees began in 1995 @ The Missouri Botanical Garden. Master Benjamin N. Chu mentored me in Japanese garden design elements and Arboriculture. He graciously shared his knowledge, and mastery of Japanese style pruning and put me to work climbing trees and pruning in the world renown, “Seiwa-en” Japanese garden. My interest in trees continued through out my life and I became infatuated with trees in miniature. To no ones surprise, I found bonsai. I have no collection to speak of. But I do grow nursery stock from the local garden center. Gotta start somewhere. Then, I found MIRAI. All I can say is thank you to Master Niel, and his talented staff for all the info. Looking forward to the future.
