What category does jack pine fall into?

I just received a jack pine (nursery stock). I like the way Ryan breaks pines down into categories (short needle vs. long needle, single flush vs. multiflush). I read that it is related to lodgepole pine, so do I treat it as a single-flush long-needle pine?

I believe jack pine can be treated as a short needle single flush pine.
