Versatility of juniper branches - Tim Priest tree

Hello, all! In tonite’s live stream (12/28) Ryan mentioned how a large, full branch on a juniper can be used to achieve a number of different purposes. That reminded me of an example I’d seen, a yamadori juniper belonging to Tim Priest of Grand Rapids. It won Best of Show (Open) at the 2018 Chicago Show.
Tim told me that when he received the tree, it had just three primary branches. Later, two of those branches died! He restyled it using only the one surviving primary, and its secondaries and tertiaries. See what you think of the result! :smiley:
