I just listened to the podcast from Ryan’s trip to Israel and it reminded me of my trip there last fall. It’s an amazing country and I instantly fell in love with it. But I thought it’d be fun to share with you guys a special tree we saw on top of [Masada]. It’s a mountain fortress near the Dead Sea and is pretty much a desert in that region. But on top of the mountain sat this lone tree, looks maybe like an olive but couldn’t really tell. But I was blown away by the intensely inhospitable environment in which it survives.
