l found another source for information on common juniper you might already be aware of as it was published in 1985 - “Bonsai Design: Book 1” by Peter Adams

Hey David, excellent information! I’ve started a thread a while back where we try to figure out what works when collecting CJ and hopefully why. Any chance you’d want to add your experience? The thread is “sciencing the juniperus communis yamadori riddle”. I’d also hugely appreciate any hard to get reading material such as the Lenz chapter. I’ve looked for it for bloody months, and buying seems to be…prohibitively expensive :).
